Acceptable Use Policy
Crenel protects content from bots. It is not a hiding place for content that is illegal or abusive. This policy says what is not allowed and what happens when we find it.
1. Prohibited content
You may not use Crenel to host or distribute:
- Illegal material under Nigerian or international law.
- Phishing pages, credential harvesting, or anything designed to steal logins, cards or identities.
- Malware, exploits, or code whose purpose is to compromise other systems.
- Spam infrastructure, including mail relays, link farms and botnet command channels.
- Fraud, including fake stores, fake payment pages and scam schemes.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property.
- Child sexual abuse material. This is reported to the authorities, no exceptions.
The eight-layer challenge does not make prohibited content acceptable. It protects your site from bots; it does not protect you from this policy.
2. Enforcement
When we find a violation, we act in steps:
- Remove the offending content or subdomain.
- Suspend or terminate the account, depending on severity and history.
- Blocklist the IPs involved, so the content cannot simply move to a new subdomain.
- Report serious violations (CSAM, fraud, malware) to the relevant authorities.
We do not warn before removing content that is actively harmful. For borderline cases we usually message the account owner first. Termination for a violation does not refund the current period.
3. DMCA and copyright
If you believe content on a Crenel subdomain infringes your copyright, send a notice through the Telegram channel on the contact page. Include:
- The exact URL of the infringing content.
- A description of the work you own and proof of ownership.
- Your contact details.
We act on valid notices by removing the content and telling the account owner. If you believe your content was removed by mistake, send a counter-notice with the same details plus a statement that you have the right to the content. We restore content after a valid counter-notice unless the claimant escalates.
Accounts that repeatedly host infringing content are terminated. One strike is not a policy; a pattern is.
4. Reporting
Anyone can report a violation, not just rights holders. Reports go through the Telegram channel. Include the URL and what you believe it violates. We do not share who reported what.
